have pon.grand am gt when im at a light the car jumps when i put my foot on the gas.

What do you mean it jumps??? When you put the foot on the gas does it rev up for a second then "jump" into gear (then does your car make a little screech of the tires?) If so, that would be your tansmission...I had a car that did that. Turns out it was nothing serious, just something in a computer module that was out of whack. I'd say it was 25$ for the part plus labor charges..I dunno the cost the car had otehr things wrong with it so I junked it before I fixed that problem..lol

If it does that when you do that then don't do that.

Sounds like your transmission might be going bad.
