Default Mascara help!?

so i want to start wearing mascara to school, but i'm just aweful at putting it on! and then when i get the mascara on right, i just cannot do eye liner. it looks like a four year old drew a line staright across my eyelid. and then i try making it closer to the eyelashes and i feel like i'm going right on the eyelash line, and it still looks aweful. so then it looks so bad, i never even get to the stage of eye shadow. help!!! how do you put it on. i don't want it all thick, just a small tasteful amount

It takes years of practice! I used to try something - muck it up - then give up and then go back for another try months later...until I got it rightAnd thats with ALL the different make up items!Suppose its all part of LEARNING to apply make up - learning what suits you ..your own personal style!!!

What I do to put on eyeliner is get it in between both eyelids (I suggest not poking yourself in the eye, though) and closing your eye while the eyelines is still in between. Then, put a little more pressure on the upper lid with the eyeliner pencil and move it along the edge. I hope that made sense. To put on mascara, just get the mascara as close to an open eye as possible (again, without poking yourself in the eye) and then closing the eyelid. Make sure that your eyelashes touch your eyelid when doing this for the perfect amount of curl.

The best way for you to learn is to go for a makeover at one of the makeup counters....go to clinique. They are used to dealing with a younger crowd then say an Estee Lauder is. Tell them you are going to attend a wedding and really need help with the makeup. Buy something from them....lip gloss, cream, clarifying lotion, something you will use that is not hugely expensive. They will be more than happy to help you, especially if they think you need new makeup and are ready to buy it. When they are done thank them and tell them you will take this now and be back after the wedding for more, so could they write it down? They will give you a list of colors and products....you are not obligated, but if you do want to buy something at least you will have the list. Good luck.

when i'm in a rush in the morning, clear mascara is my best friend. its looks simple and perfect for an everyday look. and you can make a screwy mess and it wont look bad. you should definitely put on eyeliner before putting on mascara! try brown eyeliner instead of black, it looks less harsh on your face ,and more natural too. just stick to really light shadow that goes w/ your skintone with a little shimmer. nothing too drastic. yup, that should keep your look easy, breezy and beautiful =)

Put on the eyeliner before the mascara. Make sure it's sharp. Put your fingertip at the outer corner of your eye and kinda pull it so that your eyelid is straight and your eye shuts, then slowly draw the line starting at the inside of your eye. For the mascara if you have an eyelash curler use that and hold it for about 10 seconds, then apply the mascara slowly. Sometimes it helps the lashes stay curled if you blow the eyelash curler with a blow dryer for a few seconds just to heat it up a little.
