Default I've made some jewelery in the pass but recently I been bored of making...

...it and I can't figure out why.? When I really try to make something nothing comes out its like I've got readers block! Has any beaders experience this before? Or could it be I just don't have enough material to bring out my creative side? I just started so I've shopped on ebay a couple of times and this place called arton beads in toronto which sold really ugly low qualitity beads.Thats one of those things I do too Jenna I listen to video game music to inspire me.

I have that same problem I think we need new material and maybe different surroundings to work in like a park or the beach where there's ppl around and I don't know about you but when ppl ask about my work or compliment it I get a rush. Good luck!!

the best thing is shopping at michaels they have a large variety of craftsmy favorite material to make jewelry is a mix of beads and polymer clay (some brands are Sculpey III and Fimo)with the polymer clay you can shape it into anything you want and bake it into an oven they also supply at michaels and then you can paint it anyway you like and brush on an air dry glaze they also supply there but i suggest before baking it you stick this wire that they have there or at walmart too that allows you to put it on a necklace the wire is about an inch or an inch and a half long with either a loop at the end or a small circular disc at the end....xD it might be too much info but the polymer clay really allows you to bring out your creativityi'd also prescribe this woman onto you ^___^her blog: http://kawaiineh-singyee.blogspot.co...s-fimo.htmlshe really taught me alot of different things

Maybe try a different type of making jewelry... I make bracelets out of certain series of knots. I make crosses out of beads (You can get them at Wal-Mart or the Dollarama). My favorite brand of beads are The Bead Factory. I make necklaces out of stones with a loop to put string into. (You can find that at the Dollarama). And I make charm bracelets out of little charms and string. (You can find that at the Dollarama too). Bright colors might boost your wanting to make crafts too. Hope it helps

I've gotten a lot of inspiration from magazines at the store or at the library. Mark every page with a sticky note tab that has an element or idea that you like. Then when you're stuck, you can go back and be inspired. Oftentimes, one small element of a necklace I've seen will give me an awesome idea for a whole new necklace. Upscale clothing catalogs are great too, because they have a lot of beaded jewelry on the models. You could also try to hit some bead shows in your area to get re-fired up again. Good luck!

I can totally relate! I feel like the only time that I really make something is when I have to make it for a friend's present or for a certain outfit that I want some jewelry to go with. I try and group my bead projects together so that when I find another bead that will go with that project I already have them together... even though I usually change my mind by the end... it gets the juices flowing. Start out small with the earrings or the bracelet first... instant gratification does wonders. Look at regular magazines and bead magazines for inspiration. I have a bunch of sites below that you can look at for ideas and for places to shop at. Try finding a local bead show! Great deals and beautiful beads!Take a class or make a jewelry making date with a friend. Hope these ideas help.
