Don't you find those "purity rings" annoying?

I hate them. It's disgusting how overprotecting christian moms want to use God as an excuse to leave their children out of sexual exploration.Instead of that, shouldn't they be doing condom-giving events or STD conferences at their churches? Do you agree with me?Feel free to give your opinion, either you agree or disagree with me.I mean, use a freakin' condom you world!!!

I'm assuming that a purity ring is similar or the same as a promise ring. Don't have sex till your married.Well it's hard topic.1. the world is over populated enough and my sister was pregnant when she was a teenager and her kids are angry, unhappy, depressed and unsettled because she doesn't know how to be a parent. They're teens now but, they've always been this way. And sexual exploration no matter how much you try to educate the kid does lead to teen pregnancy.2. Yeah sexuality and stuff should be explored. It's a path that shouldn't be untreaded. But it also shouldn't be overtreaded.I belive that sex and related subjects are sacred. I'm not christian so my values may differ slightly. I believe that any act of sex should be with someone you love deeply.But hey, this is coming from a high school senior whose never felt even a crush for someone before.

I don't really care, but personally I wouldn't need a ring to remind myself NOT to have sex before marriage and etc.

Actually i dont find them annoying at all, on the contrary, i find them a challenge, its an honorable thing to do!First of all, God DOES require purity and holiness of all christians so its not about christian moms overprotecting their kids. And in these days of HIV, who but a non -caring parent wouldn't wanna protect and counsel their kids??? Sex is ok, in fact God is the author of sex but only meant for it to be enjoyed within the confines of marriage. Its that intimacy that makes a christian couple one, body and spirit. The bible says in1 Corinthians 6:16 ''What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith He, shall be one flesh.''.....Besides a harlot, whoever u join yourself to, you become one flesh with them. Point is, why join uaself to someone whom u'll want to disjoin uaself from? And why waste uaself anyway? There's something very noble about keeping uaself for the ONE.Abt condoms, well, for a christian, they are not an option. Thats just encouraging sexual immorality. They send the message that sex with anyone at any time is ok so long as u dont get pregnant or cotract some diease. Well, the christian perspective is ''Leviticus 11:44 For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves'' and ''1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.''One more thing, nothing beats that feeling of knowing that u r ,morally and sexually pure.

It really shouldn't be up to the parents to decide whether they should be having sex or not. It should be the teen. They miss up their life its their own fault.
