Default when buying jewelry abroad are you covered for damage during your travel home?
recently travelled home from abroad on arrival i found my ring had been damaged with a chip out and a split it was packed in my hand luggage in a soft pouch.

It depends on where you bought it and if buying it did include a gaurantee. Or maybe, you are having an insurance matching it.
