why do hair stylists cut hair when its wet?

Its easier, think about it. If one has dry hair, its prone to fly aways and fuss. Wet hair is much easier to handle.However, there is a hairdresser who does whats known as a 'diamond cut'. Its very pricey, but he does it on dry hair which some seem to favor. It makes sense, as how you cut dry hair, that's how it will look whens it dry. With wet hair, its going to look slightly, if not more, different when its dry.

well the hair dressers wash your hair for you because its courtesy so when they cut it then they can blow dry it for you and have your hair look beautiful. by wetting the hair before hand it make it easier.

because if u want a perfect haircut then the cut should be perfect in which the hair ends should be accurate according to the haircut preferred. so, some people might have curls, wavy hair so its actual length is not known so if the hair is wet it will be straight and the correct length of hair will be known.
