Default Can I cut my own hair?

I had my haircut a while ago, and the hairdresser layered my hair except for the back, making it thicker and longer than the rest. Can i cut it or improve this myself, and if i can, how?ye thing is no ones really helping me they are just giving me something else to look at or go to a pro i want someone to give me some kind of method

You can, I have a friend that's done her own hair for years but it's really hard. You might be better off going to a pro.

Layers are very tricky to do on yourself and it takes a lot of practice. I made mistakes on my own head for years before I learned to do a passable job of it. If you are brave and want to learn, go to amazon.com and find a book about how to cut hair. Buy the book and do your best to follow the instructions.
