how do i care for kinky curly hair?

I'm having trouble caring for my hair. I don't know what product that's best without all the harsh chemicals and such. I have 4b hair which is kinky and curly and it just stays dry all the time. I don't know what to do. I need help with my hair so I won't break out and split. help me please.

i use some sort of serum which help get rid of kinks or poofyness < sorry didnt have a dif word lol . Sorry if i didnt help x

I have very very curly hair. I have tried everything to calm it down chemically and nothing works, the curls are so tight they look they were wound around a pencil. I use herbal essence mousse for curly hair (its in a purple can) after years of trying every other product out there. I get my hair wet every time I am going to fix it comb it out and put the mousse in then let it air dry.

I think the best way to care for it is to get the right products and right routine. There are a lot of resources out there that cater to people with curls.
