Default Why dont girls get their hair 'Done' anymore?

I was watching some early Westerns and 60's films, girls always had gorgeous dramatic hairstyles (and pretty eyebrows and long thick eyelashes) now they all have low-maintanace boring hairstyles and thick eyebrows. Is this because of the equality of the sexes? Very few even wear lipgloss!

I think you've answered your own questions, girls looked liked that in FILMS. I don't see anyone walking round recently like they've walked off a film set, so that's why you don't either.

Well because in comparison to women back in the 60's, we women now have to juggle with the triple shift (work, family, housework). We don't have time in the morning's to do our hair in a glamourous way, and only a few bother to put on a full face of make up at 8am.I wouldn't say that the equality of the sexes makes effect in this way. Besides, most women still look like women without their hair and make up all done.
