WOW! This "lipstick on his/your collar" has really been overworked!Connie Francis did it on "Lipstick on Your Collar".Martina McBride sings it in "Phones Are Ringin' All Over Town". Taking Back Sunday sings "Your lipstick, his collar" in "Cute Without The 'E' (Cut From The Team)".Kylie Minogue sings "There's lipstick on his collar" in "One Boy Girl". Elton John sings "He's got lipstick on his collar" in "Heartache All Over the World". In "Southern Rain", Cowboy Junkies sing, "Every night there's lipstick on his collar; every morning I wash it away."Then, there's "Want Ads", sung by Taylor Dayne. The site has "Dane", but isn't it "Dayne"? (Yes, I see from the earlier post that "y" is correct.)I figured that I didn't get first answer, so I threw in this information. Maybe songwriters should work a little harder sometimes to avoid this major cliche.Shouldn't guys get the hint to check their shirts?!
