graphic design beneficial for fashion design?

my daughter goes to a vocational high school. would studying graphic design be beneficial for a career in fashion design?

Not really. A lot of fashion designers draw out figures of clothes.

I'm a graphic designer and I was never taught to sew or come up with any fashion collections on either of my courses. We design magazines, promotional material, websites, logos, tv graphics and like me, some design greeting cards.She needs to learn to draw people properly, study contemporary fashion and fabrics.
