Video Game Designers, what are some good courses to take to become one?

I want to become a video Game designer since I love video games and i was wondering if Computer programing, graphic design are good courses. What else should i take?

Be sure to take courses in history, creative writing, sound design, literature (medieval is particularly helpful!), visual arts, and other areas that prepare you to be creative not merely technical. It is harder to find a creative designer than a competent one, so work on your stories, filled with historical or political intrigue, etc.enjoy!

there's a lot of courses including graphics design ...and as far as I know it depends to the schools what courses do they offer... yes.. computer programming major in graphics design is the good one.. or if you really want to become a good designer also take fine arts major in graphics or multimedia design..
