I am a web designer, can I get free leads from anywhere or do I have to pay for them?

Hi, I am a web designer and bassicly I have been using design contest sites and also paying for various leads in order to gain business but it seems to be an expensive and time consuming way of generating business.... I am wondering if there is any FREE sites out there offering free leads for web designers, there is alot advertised as free but in reality there is always a catch... anyone? thanks alot

There are a lot of freelance websites where you can bid on projects, it takes a little time to get hired when you are new, but there are lots of projects on web design.Many of these websites are paid, some are expensive, but a couple are free or almost free, coincidentally these are the ones that have more projects posted, it is because there are more freelancers when it is free or cheap.I work with 2 websites, the best I have found so far, below is the names and links to them.Hope this helps.JM
