Don't feel bad... those celebs have a whole crew of people working with them, making them exercise for hours a day, and then they get all "fixed" up with make-up, surgery, fake tans, etc. Why, I bet you would look just as good if you had a whole crew of people who's job was making you look perfect! And the celebs really have a lot of pressure on them to look good. If they are accidently seen somewhere on the beach with some cellulite or a stretch mark, it'll be plastered all over the news and magazines. They have the stretchmarks, the scars, the sagging skin too, they just work really hard to hide it because it could ruin their image... I bet they have all kinds of mental breakdowns when after having a baby, they have to lose 30+ pounds in like two weeks, and look picture perfect two weeks after giving birth, all the while dealing with having a new baby.I think you are doing really great with only 5-10 extra pounds, and you have a great husband who still thinks your beautiful. Just try to concentrate on that, and your beautiful baby... If you start to feel down, put on some makeup and something pretty, and have your husband take you out somewhere nice while someone babysits your child....Good luck, and congratulations on motherhood!

ME!My body will probably never look the same since giving birth, and I work out faithfully four times a week AND eat healthy. It's just natural. I was lucky enough not to get stretch marks, but I've heard that it's heredity. I however, did gain a lot of weight and I did widen up. There's no way I'll ever be able to get my size two jeans over my size six hips ever again. This is why so many women have terrible self image and why so many young girls starve themselves thin. I refuse to look at those magazines because I'm proud of my post baby body--and I'm proud of my natural body. Looking at those magazines and comparing yourself to models makes it so hard to like yourself the way you are.

While some women are lucky and don't get stretch marks, wealthy celebs have access to personal trainers, plastic surgeons, and air brushing.

I have awful stretch marks from my son and wrinkly skin because i had a c-section and then lost the first bit of weight so quickly. I also have them down my hips and a few on my breasts. I would resemble a tiger if i were coloured right! It took me a year and a half to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and even then i couldnt stick to it and on average am half a stone or so more than i weighed before. To be honest though as time goes on (my son is now four) i care less and less and pity celebs who have such pressure to look good all the time because to be honest i hate exercising religiously and dieting. I love chocolate and pizza and take-aways and am quite happy to indulge in them because i dont have a fear of being less than stick thin. Nicole Kidman was a stick before she had her baby and barely had a bump. Normal women dont bounce back like that and why should we? I think in the business they are in there is no room to have so much as an inch of fat which is sad, but then thats what they chose. I choose not to compare myself to them and to just get on with it. I would much rather be a good mother, happy and not hungry than super thin.

I am right there with you honey! I was only 19 when I had my first and I got the most horrendous stretch marks all over my tummy. I looked like a tiger! I went on to have more stretch marks with the following babes and now at nearly 34 I am fearing the worst for my poor body as I am 9 weeks preggas with number four. I used to be so slim and now I feel so fat and my tummy is so yukky. my hubby also says I am lovely, so i am lucky I guess, but I know what you mean with the celebs. Why don't they get stretch marks, its like can they pay NOT to have them or something???? LOL!

Remind yourself that these celebs live in the gym, after giving birth, while their babies are with high-paid nannies, and that they can and do mess with pics, so that the celebs *look* like they have no flaws... Plus, some of them admit to surgery for a little nip & tuck... We don't have those luxuries; we're 'real.' Considering I don't work out, and have no one photoshopping MY pics, I'm glad to bounce back, after each pregnancy, although it takes longer than a few weeks, now that I'm 30.

Doesn't it wind you up.? I put on an extra 42lbs with my daughter, i was so big at 6 months i had people ask if i was having twins. it's taken me a yr to lose 14lbs and still no where near my pre- baby weight. What drives me up the wall is these celebs pay other people to look after their kids and get in a personal trainer. When you've got 2 or 3 kids to look after and do the daily chores you've hardly got time to wash your hair let alone go down the gym to your body back.

OMG I couldnt agree more! I just dont know how the heck they do it?!?! After my first I tried real hard not to put on too much weight and managed to put on less than 2 stones and was back in my pre-pregnancy clothes by about 6 wks but with the subsequent children it was not so easy at all. After my 2nd I just couldnt lose the weight and was stuck with an extra 7lbs which I had when I got pregnant with the 3rd and put on even more weight and by the time I got pregnant with the 4th I was about 2stones heavier than with the 1st. I was totally gutted...I honestly dont know how they can lose like 4 stones in record time with no lumps/bumps or stretch marks. I have ugly ones especially from last pregnancy and no amount of diet and exercise seems to get rid of my jelly belly. I think there is definate pressure to get out of the maternity trousers and back in pre-pregnancy clothes and look all made-up and glam.
