Do you get to keep your gown on and pants?

When your having spinal surgery do you keep your gown on and pants?What does the doctor do,like just the op or get me prepared?Anyone had scoliosis surgery recently and whats there expirience.How come someone i know were special hospital pants ?Can you ask for them?

like another post said they will maintain ur dignity but u will nt b allowed to wear ur pants as it needs to b a sterile environment to help u from gettin nfection in ur wounds.u can wear ur pants in ur bed till they are ready to take u.i hav never came accross scoliosis surgery but i hope it goes well for u.gud luckalso the doctor operating doesnt normally prepare u it will normally b a RN

My mum recently had a spinal surgery and dont worry they give you these paper type pants these things like flight socks and a gown that they dnt remove usually untill you are asleep. good luck!! :)
